A couple of months ago I decided to buy a printer (for CVs and letters due to the fact that shortly I would be divorced from being able to print things at work). I could have happily bought the cheapest ink jet but eventually decided upon an Epson Stylus Photo R300, because it has 6 separate ink tanks and has a memory card reader, and it was only 85 UKP.

I have to say I actually enjoy printing things at home! I have printed some aerial photos for friends and relatives (finding out in the process that the paper really does matter) and have found that I even print out syntax highlighted code so I can scribble on it. I am very impressed - and never thought that a printer would be an interesting item to own.
